In April 2022, I embarked on a groundbreaking project at EmmsFan Industries — designing an end-to-end event management and analytics web app, named Kirgawa.
As the UI/UX designer, the challenge was immense, but the opportunity to shape a product used by real people fueled my passion.
Kirgawa is an events management and analytics web app developed by EmmsDan Industries that aims to streamline event organization, attendee tracking, and ticketing while enhancing stage performance management and connecting organizers with sponsors.
The landscape of event planning lacked a comprehensive solution that seamlessly integrated event creation, attendee management, and analytics. Recognizing this gap, the goal for Kirgawa was clear: revolutionize event planning by offering a platform that simplifies the entire process.
After careful research, I chose Sarabun for headers and Nunito for body text to achieve a balance between readability and a modern, clean aesthetic. Sarabun, with its sharp and elegant style, helps headers stand out and grab attention, while Nunito's rounded and friendly appearance enhances the readability and approachability of body text, ensuring a smooth and pleasant reading experience for users throughout the website and web app.
The Kirgawa style guide ensures a cohesive and intuitive user experience by standardizing the design of key UI elements, including input fields, dropdown menus, checkboxes, and radio buttons. Input fields are designed with clear labels and ample spacing to enhance readability and ease of use. Dropdown menus feature a consistent, sleek design that aligns with the platform's aesthetic, providing a smooth selection process. Checkboxes and radio buttons are visually distinct, with clear states for checked, unchecked, and disabled options, ensuring users can easily understand and interact with these elements. This comprehensive style guide promotes consistency, usability, and a polished look across the entire platform.
To address the need for a smooth onboarding experience, I crafted an intuitive interface that guides users through the initial setup effortlessly. From user registration to the first event creation, every step was meticulously designed to ensure a positive and engaging onboarding journey.
From the early design stages, the focus was on simplifying event creation. The interface allowed users to input essential details such as event name, date, and time seamlessly. The ability to generate online links for virtual meetings added a layer of adaptability, ensuring compatibility with various collaboration platforms.
It was important to add features that empowered organizers to craft unique event experiences. Custom branding options, personalized registration forms, and tools for creating schedules and agendas provided organizers with the flexibility to tailor each event to their vision.
Beyond event creation, the platform offered efficient event management tools. Organizers could add or remove attendees, create and manage a contact list, add tickets, send notifications and reminders, and manage event schedules seamlessly. Real-time analytics and reporting features provided valuable insights during events, facilitating data-driven decision-making.
The Kirgawa platform includes a robust contact management feature that allows users to create, organize, and manage their contacts seamlessly. Users can manually add new contacts or import them from external sources, categorize them into groups, and search for specific contacts easily. This feature also integrates with the event calendar, enabling users to send personalized event invitations and automated reminders to selected contacts. With an intuitive interface, the contact management system simplifies the process of coordinating and tracking event RSVPs, enhancing overall user engagement and event management efficiency.
The ticketing system within Kirgawa offers a comprehensive, user-friendly solution. Event organizers can effortlessly create and customize ticket types, set pricing, and manage availability. The system supports multiple payment methods for seamless transactions and provides real-time sales analytics to monitor performance. Automated email confirmations and QR code generation streamline attendee check-in, ensuring a smooth entry process. This feature enhances the overall event experience, making ticket sales and management efficient and stress-free for both organizers and attendees.
Recognizing the significance of sponsorship, Kirgawa was designed to seamlessly showcase sponsors. A dedicated section on the event page highlighted sponsor logos and brands. Moreover, the introduction of sponsorship packages allowed event planners to create comprehensive offerings, enhancing the value proposition for sponsors

As the sole designer from the project's inception, my journey with Kirgawa has been marked by a constant commitment to a user-centered design approach. Reflecting on the process, it is evident that every design decision was made with the end-user in mind, resulting in a product that is not just functional but delightful to use.
